Daniel Rückert is Alexander von Humboldt Professor for AI in Medicine and Healthcare at the Technical University of Munich, where he directs the Institute for AI and Informatics in Medicine, and also holds a chair at Imperial College London. In 2025 he received the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize — Germany's most prestigious research award — for his pioneering work on AI-assisted medical imaging.

Dr. Junya Fukuoka chairs the Department of Pathology Informatics at Nagasaki University and is a practising pathologist known for his work in lung and digital pathology. A pioneer of digitised diagnostic networks that link institutions across borders, he has held leadership roles in the Digital Pathology Association.

Prof. Dr. Marialuisa Cavelti is an Extraordinary Professor and Head of Research at the University Hospital of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, University of Bern. As a clinician scientist, her research focuses on the early detection and intervention of mental disorders in children, adolescents, and young adults. Her work integrates digital assessment and intervention approaches with patient and public involvement to advance translational mental health research.

Dr. Michael Stickel is Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) at the Insel Gruppe in Bern, where he leads the strategic integration of clinical practice and digital health systems. With a background in surgery and emergency medicine, he brings extensive frontline clinical experience to the development and implementation of hospital information systems. He has been closely involved in large-scale electronic health record implementations, including EPIC-based systems, and holds advanced certifications in health informatics, clinical documentation, and SNOMED CT. His work focuses on aligning digital innovation with clinical work.

Dr. Olga Endrich is Head of the Department Health Information Management at the Insel Gruppe Bern, and leads the Insel Data Science Center (IDSC) product line for medicine and Data & Analytics product line Epic. Her work is dedicated to building data-driven products across the full pipeline from clinical source systems to actionable insight: capturing and structuring routinely collected hospital data, transforming it into semantic representations (terminology mapping, embeddings, knowledge graphs), and applying machine learning to enable prediction, causal inference, and clinical decision support at scale.

Cord Fündeling is working at University of Bern as the Head of central IT services, where he is responsible for strategic direction setting, the development of the service portfolio, IT security, and the implementation of the university’s digitalization strategy. His core expertise spans IT governance, digitalization strategy, and the alignment of IT with business objectives to enable sustainable digital change.

Adrian Schmid is a Swiss expert in digital health and healthcare policy. From 2008 to 2022, he headed eHealth Suisse, coordinating the national introduction of the electronic patient record (EPR). Since 2022, he has worked as a senior consultant at Federas, advising public-sector organisations on healthcare strategies, programmes and digital transformation. He is also President of IHE Suisse, the Swiss branch of an international initiative promoting standards-based interoperability between healthcare IT systems.
